STITE APRIL GENERAL MEETING RECAP
That's a wrap for our April General Meeting. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend this event.
We also want to thank our guest speakers Sid Martinez and Sonia Jimenez. It was great hearing about everything coming up with the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization. Stay tuned for more information regarding next month's meeting featuring Charles Benavidez from the TxDOT SA District.

STITE PAST PRESIDENT SCOTT NELSON WAS RECOGNIZED AS THE 2023 TEXITE YOUNGER MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD RECIPIENT
At the 2024 TexITE Spring Meeting, Scott Nelson was awarded the 2023 TexITE Younger Member of the Year Award! The TexITE Younger Member of the Year Award is presented annually to recognize an individual younger member of TexITE for leadership, commitment to excellence, and activism within TexITE and other professional groups. Winning this award is a reflection of Scott's demonstrated leadership and outstanding contributions to TexITE and other professional groups. With this Award Scott will also be recognized internationally as the Texas District Rising Star Award Recipient and will be inducted into the 2024 ITE International Young Leaders to Follow Class where he will be among the top 20 young leaders of ITE. One of these 20 young leaders will be recognized at the ITE International Meeting, in Philidelphia, as the 2024 ITE Younger Member of the Year. šš Congratulations Scott, and we wish you luck in Philidelphia!
STITE SECTION WINS 2023 TEXITE SECTION MOMENTUM AWARD
At the 2024 TexITE Spring Meeting, STITE was awarded the 2023 TexITE Section Momentum Award! This would be the second year in a row that STITE has received this honor.
